Two Different Methods to Reset Roomba

Soft Reset

  1. Open the iRobot Home app on your smartphone.
  2. After that, go to Settings.
  3. Now you will see the Roomba factory  option. 
  4. Tap Factory Reset and confirm. 
  5. Wait for a few seconds while your device initiates the process. 
  6. After that, the Roomba will be reset to the factory default settings. 
Soft Reset

Hard Reset For Roomba

Roomba 500 and 600 Series

To learn how to reset Roomba to factory settings on 500 and 600 series, you just need to press and hold  the SPOT CLEAN and DOCK buttons for 10 seconds. After that, the  process will be completed.

Roomba 700 and 800 Series

To learn how to factory reset a Roomba on 700, 800, and 900 series, you just have to press and hold the CLEAN button for 10 seconds. After that, you can release the button and the robot vacuum will be reset to the factory default settings. 

Roomba S and I Series

To learn how to reset Roomba i7 or any other S and I series device, just press and hold the three buttons located on your device. Press and hold the HOME, SPOT CLEAN, and CLEAN buttons simultaneously. The light will swirl around the CLEAN button and it indicates that the reset process has been started. 

Roomba S9 and s9+ Series
